ZION KIDS
"Here am I and the children whom the LORD has given me! We are for signs and wonders in Israel From the LORD of hosts, Who dwells in Mount Zion." Isaiah 8:18

Our Vision for Zion Kids is for the lives of our children to be set apart by the Lord for signs and wonders in their generation. We believe in the power of the Word of God and the Holy Spirit to forever mark our children at Mount Zion Prayer Center to be "children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation in which (they would) shine like stars in the universe as (they) hold out the word of life." (Philippians 2:15-16)
Everything taught in our children’s classes is directly from the Bible so that it may truly become “a lamp to their feet and a light to their path” to direct their lives in the way of truth. Our desire is that our children would embrace Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life and that they would learn to lead others into this life-giving truth as well. To do this, we use songs, pictures, activities, dialogue, prayer and other ways to help the Word of God to be “living and active” in their worlds.
We highly encourage the involvement of parents and family throughout the week to enforce what the children learn on Sunday; this involvement greatly increases the effectiveness of a Sunday morning lesson. Just like working out at the gym once a week is good but not enough to truly get your body into shape, a bible lesson once a week is wonderful but not sufficient to meet the total needs of our spiritual being. In Deuteronomy 6:-7 God says to us, “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.” Children learn not just by words and pictures but primarily by example so we take our responsibilities as parents and teachers seriously. What a child learns in the first beginning years of life forms who they will be as an adult; as the well known proverb says: “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old he will not depart from it.”
We love our children and pray that they will build their lives on the foundation of Jesus Christ and advance the kingdom of God in their generation!!
